Coming Right Back At Ya! ~ Commission

This is a commission for of Super Rainbow Dash. Hope you like it!

I was pretty much given free range to work on this project, so I decided I'd try out a few new tricks on this piece. Speed was the name of the game with this picture. I wanted to capture Dash moving at speed, traveling so fast that she has to dig her hooves into the dirt to slow her momentum enough to turn. With this idea in mind, I tried out a few motion blur techniques - I even tried out some faint light streaks for her eyes to really hammer home her speed, but sadly they didn't make the final cut. I'll keep practicing that one though!
Beyond that, while this picture didn't give me much freedom to work with light and shadow, it did allow me to play with some tiny sparkling effects to accentuate Dash's powered-up state. Because everyone knows you can't be all super powered without glowing auras and pretty lights!
